Kumo — Cooling Lyocell Bedding
What makes Kumo different
Sleeps cooler
Lyocell's open fiber structure releases heat instead of trapping it. It wicks 50% more moisture than cotton. You stay dry, your bed stays fresh.
Gets softer with every wash
Unlike polyester that pills and cotton that stiffens, lyocell fibers strengthen when wet. The more you wash it, the better it drapes.
PFAS-free, tested and published
No waterproof coatings, no stain treatments, no wrinkle-free finishes. Independently tested. Test report available on our site.
Complete 4-piece set
Duvet cover, fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. Everything matches. European duvet-cover system: change in two minutes, wash at high temp.
From a tree, not a barrel
FSC-certified eucalyptus, closed-loop production recovering ~99% of solvent. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified for safety against your skin.
What you should know
It wrinkles
Lyocell wrinkles more than polyester. We think that's beautiful — the rumpled, lived-in look. If you want crisp hotel corners, this isn't your set.
It costs more
$199.95 is more than a Target set. But at $0.55 per night, it costs less than the coffee you'll sleep better without.
Fewer colors than some brands
We offer 9 carefully chosen colors. Not 40. Every color is tested to hold after 100+ washes.
Is it worth it?
What you give up
The $29.99 price tag. Wrinkle-free convenience. 40 color options.
What you get
Cooler sleep. No chemicals against your skin. Bedding that lasts 5–10 years instead of 2. A complete system that's easier to maintain.

Common questions
Does it actually stay cool all night?
Yes. Lyocell regulates temperature by wicking moisture and releasing heat. It doesn't "feel cold" like satin — it keeps you at a stable, comfortable temperature throughout the night.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold or warm, tumble dry low. No fabric softener needed — lyocell is naturally soft. Gets softer with each wash.
What size fits my bed?
We use European sizing. If you're unsure, our Queen (200×230cm) fits most US queen beds. See our size guide for exact measurements across all sizes, from Single to Super King.
Will it pill?
No. Lyocell fibers are smooth and strong. Pilling is a polyester and low-grade cotton problem. You won't see it here.
Why not just buy cotton?
Cotton is good. Lyocell is better at temperature regulation (50% more moisture wicking), smoother against skin, and more sustainable (closed-loop process, less water). If you love crisp percale cotton, look at our Wata line instead.
What's your return policy?
Sleep on it for 100 nights. If you don't love it, return it free for a full refund. No questions, no forms, no restocking fees.
