5 signs your duvet cover needs replacing
- Small fabric balls across the surface. Pilling means the fibers are breaking. No amount of washing fixes it — it only gets worse.
- The color has faded unevenly, especially where your body rests. The dye is gone and the fabric underneath isn’t far behind.
- That slightly rough, almost papery feel. You’ve gotten used to it, but run your hand across it right now. You’ll notice.
- You wake up warm. Not cozy warm. Clammy warm. Your cover is trapping heat instead of regulating it.
- You’ve had it for two years or more and never thought about it. That’s not loyalty. That’s inertia.

Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle and skip the softener — lyocell softens on its own, wash after wash. Line dry or tumble low. No ironing needed.
