The comfort you already know
Cotton is the most familiar fabric in bedding. Wata uses 100% long-staple cotton in a sateen weave — the same fiber you love, refined to its softest form.
Sateen softness without synthetics
A four-over, one-under weave gives Wata its subtle sheen and buttery hand feel. No polyester blends, no silicone softeners. Just well-made cotton.
Breathable in every season
Long-staple cotton breathes better than short-staple or blended alternatives. Cool enough for summer, warm enough layered in winter.
PFAS-free, tested and published
No waterproof coatings, no stain treatments, no wrinkle-free finishes. Independently tested. Test report available on our site.
Honestly priced
Starting at $159.95 for a complete 3-piece set. Premium long-staple cotton without the premium markup. No middlemen, no retail margin.
What you should know
It wrinkles more than synthetics
Cotton creases. That’s its nature. If you want a perfectly smooth bed without ironing, a poly-blend will do that — not this.
Fewer color options
Wata comes in two colors: Snow and Smoke. We chose restraint over range. If you want nine colors, look at our Kumo lyocell line.
3-piece set, not 4
Duvet cover, fitted sheet, and one pillowcase. If you need a second pillowcase, you can add one separately. We kept the set lean to keep the price honest.
Is it worth it?
What you give up
The cooling performance of lyocell. A second pillowcase in the box. A wide color palette.
What you get
The familiar softness of real cotton. No chemicals against your skin. OEKO-TEX certified quality at a price that respects your budget.

Common questions
What kind of cotton is this?
100% long-staple cotton in a sateen weave. Long-staple means longer, smoother fibers — less pilling, more durability, and a softer hand feel than standard cotton.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash warm, tumble dry low. Cotton is forgiving. Avoid bleach and fabric softener — the sateen weave is naturally smooth without it.
What size fits my bed?
We use European sizing. Our Queen (200x230cm) fits most US queen beds. See our size guide for exact measurements across all sizes.
How is Wata different from Kumo?
Kumo is lyocell — cooler, silkier, better for hot sleepers. Wata is cotton — familiar, warm, and more affordable. Both are PFAS-free and OEKO-TEX certified. Kumo is the performance choice; Wata is the comfort classic.
Why only two colors?
Snow and Smoke are the two neutrals that work in any bedroom. We’d rather offer two colors that hold perfectly after 100 washes than ten that fade after five.
Why 3 pieces instead of 4?
Duvet cover, fitted sheet, one pillowcase. Many people sleep with one pillow or already have pillowcases they like. We kept the set lean so you don’t pay for what you don’t need. Extra pillowcases are available separately.
Questions
A few things to know.
Orders placed before 4pm ship the same business day. Delivery takes 2–4 business days, free on every order. Everything arrives plastic-free — a paper box and a cotton bag.
Sleep on it for 30 nights. If it doesn't sleep cooler and calmer than the plastic you had, send it back — free returns, full refund. Washed bedding included.
Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle and skip the softener — lyocell softens on its own, wash after wash. Line dry or tumble low. No ironing needed.
A silk-soft fibre spun from FSC-certified eucalyptus in a closed loop that recovers about 99% of its solvent. It wicks roughly 50% more moisture than cotton, so it sleeps cool and dry. OEKO-TEX® 100 certified, plastic-free to the packaging.
